[Dulcie is sitting in a tree, somewhere on the edge of town. She has both feet thrown over the branch. A House Sparrow is perched on her finger, sitting calmly and every once and a while ruffling it's feathers. Those with good eyes may notice a very delicate chain attached to the bird's foot and running out of view of the screen. Dulcie has a pot of pink paint balanced on a slightly higher branch, and is methodically dipping her brush and using it to paint across the bird's back.]

There you are, Morwenna. You are going to look sooooooo pretty.

[Dulcie continues to paint, her tongue stuck in the corner of her mouth in concentration, while the bird begins to preen.

And against the sound of the squawking, there's another sound, a sort of breathless, hysterical laughter, that, as the sound of squawking grows louder, turns into:] WOOOooooooooooooo

[Says Nathan, who looks like the poster child for the reasons having more than one bird is a bad idea. He's dropped his arms, so all five ravens, four crows and one parrot are crowded on his head and shoulders. He also happens to be covered in bird mess.]

[Dulcie stares, eyes wide for a moment. Then she bursts into peals of uncontrollable laughter. She clings to her tree trunk for dear life as she doubles over giggling.]

No, I'm seriously. That's one of the most hilarious and awesome things I've seen today, and I just saw Campbell fly by on ten albatrosses.

No? I mean, sure, people are kind of being dicks, but no one's tried to murder me. Not today, anyway.

Their collective nouns. A group of crows is called a Murder, and a group of ravens is an Unkindness.


Oooh, and a group of owls are called a Parliment! How cool is that?
