[In the crowded hallways of Versailles, a solitary (and extremely pink) figure is standing against the wall, fanning herself delicately. Somewhat uncharacteristically to most of the people roaming the hall, she is grinning from ear to ear.

Dulcine DesRosiers, Baronne du Fontette (pop. roughly in the 200 mark), former milliner's assistant and current mistress to the Duc du Polingac, has been in Versaille for roughly two months by now.

She is still not managing to entirely fit in.

Although she has certainly been enjoying herself.]

[ooc: Yep, Dulcie is cursed and trolling! Anybody you wants to stop by and be inappropriated at by a social climber, please go for it. And yes, this being 18th France, she's still managed to have pink hair.]

[Hope she sticks around after sundown, because that's when a dark, mysterious stranger in a mask is roaming the halls. Said stranger tilts his hat to the young lady like the gentleman that he is.]

[Lord Myrnin catches sight of the fetching, pink figure as he's making his way around the dance floor. When he chooses to take a break from dancing, he takes refuge in Dulcine's hallway. He greets her with a wicked grin and a proper bow]

Mademoiselle, it is a crime I've yet to meet so lovely a lady. I am Lord Myrnin.

[It's still such a thrill for Dulcine to use her title, so she tries to drop it into conversation as much as possible. Who cares that it was basically bought for her?]

Oooh, that must have been exciting. I've been at court about two months now. I came right after my marriage to the Baron du Fontette.

I suppose so. I know the Baron. Horrible man. I'm not sure what you see in him. [It's said with a bit of a joking tone but Myrnin is entirely serious]

I think I saw a title and an entrance to Court.

[Dulcine has no qualms about her role as social climber. It took her a lot of work to get where she is, and she isn't afraid of letting people know where she started out.]

Besides, he has to stay in the Barony, you know. It's very important to make the land and and household is being taken care of.
