It's just... people, you know> They so amazing! And they have no flipping clue how amazing they are. All the stuff they've come up with! Like drive-in movies! How amazing are they? Or microwave popcorn, or treehouses, or dance parties, or poodle skirts, or FREAKING MUSIC! I mean, how do they do it? It's so incredible to me. We just can't think up stuff the way they can.

Why do they have to be the ones that die? Why do we go on being nothing long after they've gone?

[Dulcie leans forward slowly and clicks her device off.]
