dulcisnuntius | 28th Message - [accidental video]

[Dulcie's apartment flickers into view. Her device is lying on its side, so the angle is slightly skewed and to the side. Everything in the room is bright, vivid colours. Perhaps even stronger than before this curse started, although it's hard to tell. Dulcie is curled in a ball in the far corner of her living room, her face shielded with her arms. She still has smudges of paint along her arm from the other day which she hasn't been able to wash off. Her shoulders are shaking and as the audio crackles in a ragged breath can he heard.

She lifts her face, and it is absolutely streaked with tears. She's crying so hard that she's having difficulty breathing, her breath coming in and out of her in strangled, ragged gasps. Her hand keeps coming to her face, trying to hold everything in and failing. The faint sound of a song can be heard over her gasps for air. Something sad and mournful. The feed slowly fades out, and as it does, a file is attached...

[ooc: Dulcie probably won't be answering for a long time, but action is more than welcome.]

Yup. Plus caramel sauce and whipped cream and maybe a movie with girls kicking butt.

Sounds like a plan.

[Lucy shows up half an hour or so later with a grocery bag full of sauces, ice cream, bourbon and a chicks kicking ass movie. She knocks on Dulcie's door, prepared to go on in if it's unlocked. She knows crying jags like this don't always lend themselves to answering the door.]

It's open!

[Dulcie is currently in the kitchen trying to figure out how the kettle works. She looks a little blotchy, but she's not crying anymore.]

[Lucy comes on in and puts the stuff on the counter then goes over to wrap Dulcie up in a hug.] We're gonna need a blender.

[Dulcie holds onto her tightly her face buried in her neck as she mumbles-]

I don't think I have one.

I'll improvise but we need to get you one soon. [She'll hang onto Dulcie as long as she needs it. Lucy is good with the hugs.]

[Dulcie pulls back, resting her forehead against Lucy's and laughs, slightly wetly.]

Only you if come over at use it for me. I'm not very good with kitchen things.

I can do that. It's one of the things I'm really good at.

[Lucy leans in and presses a kiss to Dulcie's lips then pulls back.]

Bourbon ice cream shakes are the best thing ever.

[Dulcie smiles. This is why she likes you, Lucy. You understand the healing power of a little affection.]

Now I'm going to have take you up on that, you know.

[She totally gets it. She sleeps every night with a live cuddle bunny to keep nightmares away.]

I hope so.

[She gets a couple of huge plastic glasses she's brought, scoops some softening chocolate ice cream into both and then pours some bourbon on top before she gets a fork out and starts mashing/stirring the two together.]

[Dulcie clears off the two bar stools she keeps next to the kitchen counter and plonks down on one of them, fold her arms on the counter to and resting her chin on her hands.]

[Lucy grins over at Dulcie while she works. She adds some chocolate sauce, a little bit of milk and stirs until it seems smooth enough then she drizzles chocolate sauce and caramel sauce over the top, tops it with whipped cream from the can, sticks a straw in it and passes it over to Dulcie while she works on her own.]

See how you like it.

[Dulcie leans in and takes a long drag of shake. She slow smile spreads over her face.]

That I think I can live with.

[Lucy beams a smile at her and finishes making up her own shake.]

Okay, let's go watch Alice kick some zombie butt.

You are seriously one of my favourite people ever today.

Since you're upset, I'll forgive you for saying just today.

[She puts her shake on the table and puts the dvd into the player before plopping down on the couch.]

Have you seen this movie?

I don't even remember which movies we're watching.

Resident Evil. I got the first two 'cause they're the best. Honestly I like the second one more but you need the first for context. You like zombies, right?

Sure! I shot them when the City got transported to post-apocalyptic LA!

Oh good. You'll love these movies. [She toes her heels off and curls her feet up underneath her, leaning against Dulcie.]

[What is personal space? She cuddles against Lucy, tucking her head in against her shoulder.]

[Psh as if they need personal space. Lucy is cuddling right back 'cause nice warm angel.]

Is it bad, I kinda want to work for the Umbrella Corporation?

[She spreads her wings out a bit so Lucy can lean on them. She has been told they are pretty much the softest thing ever.]

Aren't they evil?

[When she does spread her wings out, Lucy totally snuggles into them like a warm, soft blanket. Pretty much the softest thing ever is a good description]

Yeah but they could do like so much good with their technology. I could sneak things like the antidote out and help more people be like Alice.
