6th Message - [Accidental Audio Post]
[The device starts broadcasting in a middle of a conversation, although only Dulcie's voice can be heard-]
No, it started a while ago, but I wasn't really paying attention to it.
[pause]
Well it wasn't the most important thing that was happening at the time! There were rampaging carousel animals!
[more pause]
Well I could fly with it, before. Now it's...
[A sound of rustling feathers, and the familiar flap as Dulcie opens her wings. Then a hiss of pain.]
I can't even open that one fully anymore.
[pause]
Well it's not exactly the human part of me, is it? I don't know if anyone would be able to do anything.
[Dulcie pauses again, sniffling.]
It's kind of a 'physicians, heal thy selves' thing. Or whatever the opposite of that is.
[When Dulcie pauses this time, there is anther rustle of wings as she settles back in her chair.]
I'm always fine. You know me.
[Dulcie's device clicks off]
[ooc: Dulcie is experiencing phantom pains of being shot twice in her wing. Ouch! Also, I have no clue who she's talking to on the phone, so if you know her character, feel free to make it you! :-D]

[Dulcie reaches for her wing, wincing as she inspects the source of the pain. One of the bullets had just grazed her, so all she feels there is a dull, persistent ache. But the other had embedded itself right in her joint. The pain there is a bright, hot stab that runs up and down her wing. She was working through it before, pushing the pain to the back of her mind. Almost in retaliation, it has made itself much harder to ignore.]
I wish it was real. Real pain, I can deal with. This... it isn't happening. There is nothing to fix or heal. It just hurts.
